These Terms govern your use of fragranverse.com, run by Adil Haque ("FragranVerse", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who may use the site

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. By using the site you confirm you meet this requirement and that the details you give us are accurate.

2. What the service is

FragranVerse is an independent fragrance tool. It offers perfume information, note and family analysis, shelf scoring, redundancy checks, "before you buy" comparisons, editorial content, and a glossary. Descriptions, note profiles, and clone or inspiration mappings come from publicly available information and community consensus, are for information only, and may be incomplete or wrong. See the Disclaimer.

3. Accounts

• You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping it secure.
• Sign-in uses Google. Your use of Google is covered by Google's own terms.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the law.

4. Content you post

The site lets you post ratings, reviews, collection notes, comments, and community submissions ("Your Content").

• Ownership: Your Content stays yours. You give FragranVerse a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and adapt it to run and promote the site.
• Responsibility: you are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.
• Moderation: community submissions and reviews may need approval before they appear. We may edit, refuse, or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, or spam.

5. What you may not do

You agree not to post or share anything that:

• belongs to someone else without the right to use it;
• is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or harmful to a minor;
• infringes a patent, trademark, copyright, or other right;
• breaks Indian law;
• pretends to be someone else or misleads about where content came from;
• contains malware, or tries to gain unauthorised access, scrape at scale, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the site;
• is spam or automated activity we have not permitted.

6. What we own

The site's design, code, compiled datasets, branding, and content (excluding Your Content and third-party trademarks) belong to FragranVerse or its licensors. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, or build a competing database from our data without written permission. Brand names and trademarks shown here belong to their owners; we use them only to name and compare fragrances, without implying any affiliation. See the Disclaimer.

7. Affiliate links

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the pages that use them. We are not the seller and are not responsible for third-party products, prices, availability, or transactions.

8. Not professional advice

Content is informational and not a substitute for professional, including medical or allergy, advice. Fragrances contain allergens. Check product labelling and consult a professional where relevant.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FragranVerse is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on site content. Our total liability, if any, is limited to the amount you paid us (for free use, that is nil). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold FragranVerse harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the site, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Suspension and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site, and may update these Terms. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept them. Material changes are posted with a new effective date.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.

International users: the site is operated from India. If you access it from outside India, including the UAE/GCC or the EU, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for following your local laws.

13. Complaints

For complaints about content or these Terms, email legal@fragranverse.com. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 15 days.
